MidnightBot Terms of Service

1. General provisions

MidnightBot ("Bot") is a Discord platform bot created by UNIversal Developers. Using the Bot means full acceptance of these terms of service. If you do not accept the terms, do not use the Bot.

2. Service description

MidnightBot offers the following features:

  • AI Chat (DeepSeek) — intelligent responses to user questions using an advanced AI model
  • Welcome & farewell messages — personalized messages for new and departing server members
  • Ticket system — professional request handling with automatic channel creation
  • Auto roles — automatic role assignment via interactive buttons
  • Free games — notifications about free games straight from Reddit
  • Reminders — setting reminders for a specific date and time
  • Admin panel (dashboard) — intuitive management of Bot settings

3. Terms of use

  • The user agrees to use the Bot in accordance with Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines.
  • It is forbidden to use the Bot for:
    • spam and excessive message sending
    • harassment, intimidation, or insulting other users
    • distributing illegal content, viruses, or malicious software
    • activities violating the law or the rights of third parties
  • The Administrator reserves the right to block access to the Bot for users or servers that violate these terms of service.

4. AI and generated content

  • The Bot uses the external DeepSeek API to generate responses as part of the AI Chat feature.
  • The Administrator is not responsible for AI-generated content. The AI model operates autonomously and its responses are not subject to moderation or control by the Administrator.
  • The user adds their own DeepSeek API key at their own risk and is required to comply with the DeepSeek terms of service.
  • The Administrator is not responsible for costs resulting from the user's use of the DeepSeek API.

4.1. User-provided API keys

The AI Chat feature requires the server owner to provide their own third-party API key (DeepSeek). MidnightBot does not provide, resell, or manage API keys. All API usage is billed directly by the third-party provider and is separate from the MidnightBot Premium subscription.

  • The server owner is solely responsible for obtaining, securing, and managing their own API keys.
  • The MidnightBot Premium subscription covers bot features only and does not include any API usage costs or credits.
  • MidnightBot has no control over third-party API pricing, availability, or service quality.

5. Liability

  • The Bot is provided "as is" (as is), without any warranties, express or implied.
  • The Administrator does not guarantee the continuity of the Bot's operation, availability of features, or absence of errors.
  • The Administrator is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Bot.
  • Use of the Bot is entirely at the user's own risk.

6. Privacy

User data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the Bot's website. By using MidnightBot, you also accept the terms of the Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to the terms of service

  • The Administrator reserves the right to make changes to these terms of service.
  • Users will be informed of changes on the Bot's website.
  • Continued use of the Bot after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
